Jeremy bought tickets for us to go see "A Chorus Line" at the Ahmanson Theater on
Tuesday, June 24, 2008. The Ahmanson is part of the breathtaking Music Center in downtown LA. Consequently, it is the very first place we went, just the two of us. Jeremy made a reservation for an incredible French restaurant downtown called Kendall's Brasserie. We started with Escargot and then had a delicious dinner and dessert.
After dinner, we walked over to the theater and watched a flawless performance of "A Chorus Line." The highlight of seeing shows at the Music Center, besides the Broadway quality, is getting to see the bellagio-esque fountain after the show. So,we walked out to the beautiful fountain, stared at it for awhile, and then he said, "Well, I think this is as good a time as any..." while getting down on one knee. I of course burst into tears! Truthfully, I don't really remember exactly what he said and neither does he, but I do know that I immediately said, "Of course!"
The ring he picked out is absolutely perfect! It’s a circular cut diamond solitaire that is simple, classic, and perhaps the most striking engagement ring I've ever seen. Ok, maybe I'm biased, but it is beautiful!
Jeremy and I have known each other for almost seven years and have been together for about five. I've heard people say that the first year of marriage is the hardest, I think we've weathered enough storms to know that we can get through anything. We are best friends, we have so much in common it’s almost ridiculous, and we can’t wait to be married!
